Sailing Up the NJ Turnpike

The only sailing I did this weekend was sailing up the NJ Turnpike to go pick up Vicky.  I received the photo above on WeChat on Friday indicating she was on board the aircraft bound for Cairo.

I left Saturday around lunch for the trip north, crossing the Staten Island Expressway and then on a looooonnnngggg foray into Brooklyn and Queens (the Belt Parkway was a parking lot due to some shoreline activity).

Fortunately, I arrived just 10 minutes before she was released from customs and immigration (her flight was delayed) and we had a happy reunion and a romantic dinner at the NJ Turnpike rest area before returning home.

We rested Sunday and will return to Seas The Day next weekend.
