Back on Board

It took me a while to write up last weekend because in the end there was not much to write about.  We got Vicky back on board Thursday evening after a quick drive down to Rock Hall.  It was a pleasant ride but this week was indeed another August heat wave and the heat index as we arrived in the early evening was above 100F.  The first order of business was to start up the AC and wait for the "oven" to cool.

Friday was a day for working from the boat, but we started with a nice walk out to see the bay and back.

We did have a nice dinner at the inn Friday evening and they were having a rum tasting on the grounds for "Pirates and Wenches" weekend.

We did a golden hour photoshoot so we had nice photos to let everyone know Vicky made it back safely and then enjoyed docktails while watching the sun set.

Saturday morning we awoke at sunrise to find there was zero wind and so with Vicky still being tired from the trip, we decided we didn't want to spend the day motoring and just enjoyed life at the marina.

After a day of videos on board, Saturday evening was spent having docktails at sunset and enjoying saying hi to passersby.

I can't tell you how happy I am to have someone to hug at sunset!

Sunday morning was boat chores and then we headed home to meet up with John, Jess and the grand puppy.
