Sorry... no tales of John Lennon-like disappearances. There's just not much to report on the sailing front from this weekend.
After our guests left the boat last weekend to tour Philly, we were a bit tired, cranky, and needing some down time and we spent that day basically lounging on Seas The Day. This meant we needed to get back and take care of essentials like some cleaning, pumping out and filling water tanks.
But what looked like a pleasant weekend earlier in the week must have changed... it was clear that Saturday was going to be rainy and pretty much miserable.
I decided to stay home and work on clearing out the studio. For years I have commandeered our sunroom as a small photography studio, specializing in portraits and more recently, headshots. Unfortunately, the pandemic put a stop to that activity, and while I had held off on doing anything else with the room for a while, it's clear people are not as interested in studio photography anymore so we will be repurposing the room.
It took several evenings last week and most of Saturday to get it to "empty and clean", but the room cleans up nicely and Vicky and I celebrated by going furniture shopping late Saturday afternoon.
It will make a nice sunroom/music listening room.
By Sunday, we were both tired, but Seas The Day needed some attention so we drove down to Rock Hall, picked up a sandwich at the liquor store and after lunch, made an excursion to...
... the pump out station. Yep, that's as far as we went.
(I don't think I can log "sea time" for Sunday.)
I filled the water after we returned and Vicky did some cleaning below, then we came home.
I think we were in Rock Hall for less than 2 hours.
