We went down to Rock Hall on Sunday, November 5th to do the final clean out of Seas The Day for the winter. We pulled not only the remaining liquids, but also anything we wanted to keep (e.g., tools, etc.) just in case she sells during the off-season. (If she doesn't, we will gladly commence sailing in the spring.)
Vicky wanted to do a final wash & rinse, and I set about below making sure she was ship shape for any showings. Then I set the electrical system for her winter nap (both battery switches in OFF position and only the battery charger left on (in standby).
I verified that the bilge pump still worked and closed everything up.
With a final photo, we then went to find sustenance, ending up at The Blue Heron.
After we returned home, we launched into "getting Vicky back to China" mode. She will be home providing needed support to Mama and Baba for much of the winter.
That leaves me to do some periodic check-ins to ensure Seas The Day is ready to show and doing well.
