We headed down to Rock Hall on Friday evening. Unfortunately we learned late in the day on Friday that our Raymarine Chart Plotter, which was due to be replaced, would not be replaced until after the labor day holiday. Our choices were to proceed with the vacation plans with a "blinky" chart plotter or accept a delay during the weekend. We opted for the delay.
Friday evening was quiet... spent mostly sitting in the cockpit and watching & conversing with passersby.
Later in the evening, I finished my anchor snubber... there are now no longer any excuses... we will try the anchor soon.
Saturday
Saturday was spent sitting around the dock. Vicky spent a lot of time cleaning her boat early in the morning, and then didn't want to go anywhere where it would get messed up.

Sunday
We went out for a daysail on Sunday. The wind was great and we calmly sailed out into the bay and back. Halfway across we encountered a gentle summer rain. It was a really cool day.

Monday (Labor Day)
For Monday, we invited Jie and her friend, Milli, to come along for a day of sailing. The photos tell the story here. I've given up requesting that the conversation take place in English and I just "let her talk Chinese" with her friends.

Once we returned to the dock, it was time for more "letting Vicky talk Chinese" with her friends while I took a nap. We had time for a quick game of Splendor once I woke up.
Then we escaped to Waterman's Crab House (where they had no more crabs after the holiday weekend), and then had a quick photo session near their dock.
