We were joined this weekend by Cassie and Ian along with Zoe and Evan for a wonderful day of sailing on Saturday.
Vicky and I arrived in Rock Hall on Friday evening after dinner at Cafe Sado in Chestertown. We made it to Osprey Point just in time to catch another wonderful sunset on a beautiful evening.
On Sunday morning, we did boat chores in preparation of our guests arrival. Vicky took time to (you guessed it) clean the boat exterior and I tidied the inside and filled the water tanks so we would have water to flush with while underway.
Once Cassie's family arrived, we did some quick safety review down below and then shoved off. This was the first time while heading out that I had to stop and hold position just as we were exiting the fairway from Osprey Point. The photos will tell the story. We had a wonderful day... the bay was flat and we even had a nice wind to sail out to the edge of the Swan Point Channel. (With young new sailors aboard, we decided to stay close to home.)
After a quick sail out and back, we motored back into Swan Creek where we dropped anchor and enjoyed a nice lunch.
After docking and checking out various parts of the boat (including opening EVERY floor hatch), we said our goodbyes and Cassie and her family headed home and Vicky and I retired below to enjoy the cool AC.
It was a fun day on the water!
Bonus: Some photos from Cassie and Ian!
