Wait, What?? You're Selling Seas The Day?

Yes, my dear readers... 10 years to the day after we took delivery of Yachtette, the listing for Seas The Day went public.

Taking delivery of Yachtette

The discussions about selling have been going on for a while - most of the summer.  We thoroughly enjoy the time we spend on Seas The Day, but we have noticed all the other spring/summer/fall activities we could be doing.  Given the costs and effort involved in owning a boat, it's hard to break away for those.

Besides, for several years now we have noted all the other places we could sail using charters for the same cost.  We expect that its time to explore those a bit more.

So the decision to sell is a bit ambivalent... and kind of hard and logical.  We don't want to completely give up sailing, but for now we plan to do less of it and do it on charters.  We will let Seas The Day pass to some new owners, and if it takes a long time to sell her, we will happily continue to fully enjoy her.

It's been a fabulous 10-year run!

The rest of the photos (besides Yachtette, above) are photos I took for the listing.  If you know someone looking for a Catalina 425 in "meticulous condition" (thanks to Boatus Cleanus), let us know.  She's listed with G. Winter's Sailing in Riverside, NJ.
