Sailing with Paul and Kelly

Melly, Kelly, Molly and Paul

Before we get started, both of my regular readers will have noticed that we didn't post anything last weekend.  I have to confess that we used Seas The Day as a "boatominium" last weekend (we stayed on board, but didn't go out).  I was just too darned hot... we sat on board and enjoyed the AC.  There were no photos.

Today Paul, my cubicle neighbor at work, came out for a day on Seas The Day along with his wife, Kelly, and daughters Molly and Melly.  The girls took right to Vicky as can be seen in the photo below.

We headed out Swan Creek and down to the #3 buoy where as soon as we turned, Molly was eager to take the helm.  She passed my "Executive Capability Test" (she could hold a straight line for a while - my "Executive Axiom" is that anyone who can't hold a straight line on a boat for a while has no business leading people)... anyway, I digress...

She had a blast.

Both girls were bright, inquisitive and full of energy.  This is why we invite young families along for a day of sailing... They keep us younger.

Photos will tell the rest of the story.  We had a wonderful day.  Temps were in the low 80s with winds around 8 to 12 knots.  The sky was clear and it was just a perfect day for a daysail.

Melly and Vicky went to the foredeck for a bit, soon joined by Molly for an impromptu photo session.

After sailing out to the Swan Point Channel and back, we headed back to the dock where Vicky had prepared the filling for her spring rolls.  She showed the girls how to prepare the rolls then fried up some for lunch.

After lunch and some time exploring around the boat interior, we pointed Paul toward the beach in Rock Hall (Molly had one last item, "Go to the beach" on her summer bucket list).

Then Vicky and I collapsed for a long afternoon nap.

Bonus Content!  Here are some photos Paul provided.

EXTRA BONUS!!!  See what I found on my desk Tuesday morning!

Thank you Molly and Melly!
